Cotton is a fabric woven from cotton fibers (fibers spun from cotton bolls) or can combine cotton fibers and some other synthetic fibers (polyester plastic fibers). With the characteristics of being easy to dye, outstanding durability, super sweat absorbent ability as well as creating a cool and comfortable feeling for the wearer. So cotton material is currently “dominating” the garment and fashion industry around the world.
Cotton is an extremely soft and smooth fabric. It is woven from natural cotton fibers, so it is easy to wrinkle when rubbing the fabric or washing too hard, especially machine washing. In addition, when you burn 100% cotton fabric, you will see that it burns quite slowly, without an unpleasant burning smell or pink charcoal.
Advantages of cotton fabric:
Absorbs sweat extremely well, so cotton material brings great comfort and ease to the wearer. Now you no longer wonder if cotton material is cool, right?
Cotton fabric is highly durable, also colorfast and difficult to tear, so it is loved by many people.
Compared with artificial fabrics with the same properties, good absorbency,… cotton fabric is cheaper.
Cotton fabric also dries very quickly, so washing and drying is very comfortable and convenient.
The depth of the global export market is highlighted in Australia’s trading history. In recent years, China has been Australia’s largest raw export market; however, in 2021 the majority of Australian cotton was exported to Vietnam and Indonesia. 99.9% of Australia’s cotton is exported, making Australia the third largest cotton exporter in the world. The main reason is that there are no cotton spinning mills in Australia, which is an early stage of processing where yarn is produced. Australian cotton is shipped to spinning mills from the ports of Brisbane and Sydney. Substantial amounts also went to Turkey, Thailand, China, India and Bangladesh to be used in the textile industry. Australia’s cotton export value is expected to increase by 220% to $7.0 billion in 2022–23.

Wheat starch is a fine, white and odorless powder. This type of flour has had gluten completely removed.

Wheat starch powder is essentially the starch of wheat flour and has a number of uses as follows:
Creates toughness and improves color (white)
Creates a crispy, spongy texture
Creates firmness for green bean filling

Australian wheat is produced in one of the cleanest environments in the world. On average, Australia produces about 25mmt of wheat each year across about 12 million hectares. In recent years, production has reached 30-40mmt, which accounts for 4% of world wheat production and about 20% of global wheat exports. About 65–75% of Australia’s total wheat production is exported each year, with Western Australia the largest exporting state.

Australian wheat is ideally suited to a wide range of wheat-based products including:
• all types of Asian noodles
• steamed dumpling skins
• Asian-style steamed bread
• western-style and artisan-style bread
• flatbreads
• cakes, cookies and pastries
• pasta and cous cous

As per Volza’s Global Export data, Wheat starch export shipments stood from World at 126.6K, exported by 1,649 World Exporters to 2,003 Buyers.
World exports most of it’s Wheat starch to Netherlands, United States and Germany
The top 3 exporters of Wheat starch are Germany with 15,842 shipments followed by Netherlands with 11,760 and France at the 3rd spot with 10,476 shipments.

Faba bean (Vicia faba) is a winter-growing pulse, or food legume crop. It originated in the Middle East in the pre-historic period, and has extended its cultivation throughout Europe, North Africa, and Central Asia. The faba bean spread to China over 2,000 years ago via traders along the Silk Road, to South America in the Columbian period, and more recently to Canada and Australia (Stoddard 1991). Faba beans have been used extensively in Australia for livestock nutrition but an emerging export market may in the future be more important (Somerville 2002). Faba beans have significant rotational benefits in predominantly cereal-based farming systems, and also in cotton rotations, by assisting in control of faba beans are a relatively high-value product and are exported to major food markets in the Middle East with Australia being a major exporter.
Prices of $200–$350 per tonne for food grade faba beans have been received in recent years. A significant proportion of Australia’s faba bean crop is used for animal feed and demand from this quarter is likely to continue to grow (Somerville 2002).
As per Volza’s Australia Export data, Faba beans export shipments from Australia stood at 1.3K, exported by 98 Australia Exporters to 151 Buyers.
Australia exports most of it’s Faba beans to India, Vietnam and Indonesia.
The top 3 exporters of Faba beans are Canada with 2,091 shipments followed by Netherlands with 2,081 and Germany at the 3rd spot with 1,905 shipments.

Faba beans have value in both human consumption and animal feed markets. They are a hardy crop and can be a valuable part of a crop rotation. Pricing options are available to faba bean producers, although it is important to discuss contract specifications with potential buyers ahead of time to ensure that there is a buyer for the product.
